If a game was ever set up for UT to win it was this one: coach gone, QB gone, multiple suspensions, program in general turmoil vs. 18 returning starters and some legitimate playmakers at the skill positions.

HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa....
ut lacked the proven gamer QB. Had they had a guy like Bruce G yesterday, ut would have beaten that team by 2-3 td's. Beckman should have gone to Owens sooner...he seems more accurate and mobile than Dantin.

A golden opportunity slipped away....just like BG in 2003. The diffenence was osu was #4 and defending BCS Champs. Krenzel didn't play but that was about it. BG had them on the ropes and just couldn't deliver the KO. It will happen some day...

Owens is usually referred to as the throwing QB because he LACKS great mobility and his accuracy, by percent completed, is not what Dantin's is. dantin is a much better runner and Owens much better at throwing downfield. Not sure why Dantin didn't run more-he was our number two ground gainer last year and he had nice gains on the only two designed QB runs I saw yesterday. He is a bit fragile and took a lot of huge hits last year so maybe they are being cautious. Dantin controls game better as evidenced by Owens horrible interception but Owens has shown a propensity for making the big play. My guess is UT continues using both based on the situation.
