I agree, the glasses comment is just funny. That's all he's got, I guess. What type of shaded glasses am I wearing? Guess?

actually i don't. I am realistic about both teams. My realistic prediction is that BG will be fine in the MAC because the MAC is getting weaker. That is a fact. I am also making a realistic prediction that OSU has the best chance out of any other school in the country to win a national title.. The best three competitors have just lost everything that they had this year. USC went from a dominant backfield to three brand new starters and a weak defense (not good for them). UT lost Young and have no dominant RB or WR and a good but not great D. Offense is going to be quite a bt weaker.Metz wrote:You are obsessed with the damn glasses. You think everyone here wears brown and orange ones because we talk about BG in the way you obsess about tOSU. That would mean you are wearing red and gray glasses...think about it.tekekini wrote: I have more of a clue than you. I can see without the borwn and orange glasses that you constantly wear. They are blinding you now take them off every once in a while. You set yourself up for dissappointment. its OK to be optimistic, the glass is half full but some of you go overboard and you get overly depressed. its all still just a game. be happy when you play well, be sad when you are down but some of you let this run your life it sounds like.
grow up
The people you call out as going overboard, getting depessed, and setting theirselves up for dissappointment are the ones who are the total opposite.
I do agree tOSU will have a great defense again next year, though. Newcomers like Ross Homan will keep it that way. Get used to that name, it'll be tossed around just as much as AJ Hawks with time...
PSU losing Robinson, they will struggle to score, they are not that great. They got wose as the season went on. Game vs FSU proves that theory (pathetic).
OSU already steam rolled ND.
OSU losing a lot of Defense but they are getting a good one back. They now have the offensive firepower that they dont need a D as great as this years anyways. They just need a good one.
BG defense I think will improve slightly. Cant get much worse I guess. I am more optimistic about boise game since they losing QB and coach. UW game since calhoun is gone and they also losing their coach. UW however, always have great RB's. I think the UW game is winnable if we can find a WR to go with Corey and if AT can be as calm as Omar was @OU in his first start. AT will be the deciding factor in that game IMO.
I havent seen a schedule yet, but I would imagine we can beat Kent, Buffalo, EMU, Miami OH
My questionable MAC games are OU and UT because we play at the glass bowl.
Only game I see as unwinnable is the OSU game. But it doesnt mean they shouldnt try.
now I have predicted 5 games for BGnext year because of inexperience but almsot every game is winnable.

You think the MAC is getting worse? Akron is getting better, Ohio, Western Michigan and even Ball State is getting some good recruits. All of these teams are getting better. Then you have the teams that are usually good like Toledo, Miami and NIU. Of course we have the bottom dwellers but all conferences have those. This Conference looks like it is getting better not worse.
I know you don't really pay attention to the Conference because all you post about is ohio state and the big 10 but there is good football being played elsewhere.
But then again maybe I should take off my Green and Red colored glasses (Those are the official colors of the MAC right?)

I must say I also think the MAC was much weaker in '05 than it was in previous seasons. I don't know that the same will be true in '06, but I think last year the MAC was really, really weak. Yes Akron & Ohio were better than in year's past, but I don't think any of NIU, UT, Miami, or NIU were as good as they were in recent years.
Hopefully the MAC will rebound, but it was a pretty bad conference last year.

What was the Big Ten's record in their bowl games?

Wrong.
3-4
Wins: OSU, Penn, Wisconsin
Losses: Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern, Iowa
If you're going to say how dominant the Big 437 is, at least get your stats right.
Would you also like to discuss BG's recent success against the Big 438's teams lately as well?
