That was the part about OSU..

Selective attention... those scarlet and grey glasses are making you borderline illiterate.
Peregrinner wrote:Like I said, as much as I dislike OSU, I have always admitted that it is a good school for those that actually want to get an education (and have a LOT of self-restraint/willpower) and I am more than sure that there are plenty of kids, even on the football team, who are honest and hardworking.
THAT was also the part about OSU, numbnuts.
Also, you said some sort of bullshit about how I said asking teachers for help made you a cheater, which I didn't say.
I really, REALLY dislike you.
Of all the people to be an ass to, why me? I'm not one of the people who immediately responds to EVERY post you make, calling you out, so why be such a prick? I don't get it. Oh, wait. Yeah I do. I said something about disliking Columbus and OSU and being the goon that you are, you had to be a prick about it.

Oh, I always did, but I thought that I'd be civil and not mention it, for some unexplained reason I expected civility on his part as well. Looks like I'll never learn. "t"OSU fans are not to be trusted or given the benefit of the doubt.

It would be interesting to conduct a study comparing the % of threads our troll of the year participates in vs. the % of threads that devolve into meaningless pissiness and/or our mods stepping in.

Not exactly. The BS you constantly spew all over this board has taken its toll on me.
If it were simply touchy feelings I would have blown up at you a long time ago for your consistently trollish attitude and all of your "tOSU is god. Even though we lost to Texas, in reality we won. We would be NC if..." crap.
Dead to me.

Players getting by does happen at BG, but if you do not know for sure then don't go and say it like it is some kind of fact that you know OSU players do it. Have any of you witnessed first hand this happoening on a large scale at tOSU. I would not say that it happens at BG because I have not witnessed it on a large scale, but I have witnessed it. In exchange for an illegal substance, I wrote a paper on advertising, and my buddy who was also helped out wrote an econ paper. I once asked this guy that caught footballs how much trouble he would be in if caught he said there is no testing in the offseason (i thought there was) and that some of the guys before him did it too and not to worry about it. It was always neat seeing him put up big numbers, my buddy and i who went to all the games would just give each other a quick glance and nod after the big plays.

Nowadays i sometimes think about it, but at the time there were three reasons...in no particular order. The guys he ran around with were HUGE and I think maybe had weapons I don't know. The deals involved controlled substances. Also, I was guilty too, to be doing this.

Then, no offense, you're as guilty as they are. Any player doing this shouldn't be on the team: plain and simple.

Never said I wasn't, just proving a point that it happens at BG. I was in college then, a crazy time in my life hehe. I wonder how different the team would have been if my buddy or I actually did something about it. It all worked out in the end though! Detroit was awesome!

First of all, how in the heck can you say that anyone has lumped you into the OSU football player category because you didn't attend all of your classes, and that you like OSU. I think that is you wishing that you could have been.
Secondly, almost every school in the country has it's cheaters. It happens everywhere, even at BG. Anyone who thinks any differently is kidding themselves.

Almost every coach really knows that it is going on. I know first hand of that. Almost all of you know that I coach at the JUCO level, and I have talked to a lot of other coaches from all over. I don't condone cheating, but I do know that it goes on. Any coach that tells you that it doesn't go on in their program is either lying, or they make sure that they don't know about it so that it can't be put back on them if a kid get's caught. If a kid that is a difference maker athlete is struggling in a class, most coached are going to try to do anything they can to keep them eligible. Usually that means that the coach says "I don't care how you pass, but you had better pass." I am not saying that coaches go to teachers and ask them to pass the kid just because they are a good athlete, but they know that some kids aren't doing it the honest way.
I am not an OSU fan, I am a BG fan that is in the coaching profession, and knows what goes on. This is a biased post that should be taken that way. But please Tek, please quit trying to go on how "we don't know what is going on at OSU, and that people shouldn't be throwing out accusations." That is totally absurd. OSU has been in trouble way too much in the past to think that any coach has totally cleaned up a program. Take the colored glasses off and get out of your little fantasy world that you are living in. And I really don't care if you come on here and start calling me names, I have way bigger things to worry about than what you call me. So please, if you want to start calling people names, just call me names, some of the other posters on here were actually defending you for the most part, and you still tried making fun of them. Have a good day.
