Does anyone else think the Big Ten puts themself at a disadvantage by ending the season so early? In 2006 and 2007 OSU ended their season in the third week of November then ended up with about a 50 day layoff. I don't think they would have won these game anyway, but that is a long time to go without playing. Meanwhile the champion of the SEC (or ACC, Big 12, Big East, and Pac 10 even plays one weekend longer) is still playing for another 2 weekends. They end up with a little over a month between games. Just wondering if anyone else thinks that.
As to OSU potentially playing Georgia I think OSU could win that one. OSU will be a lot more fired up for that one then Georgia IMO. All things considerd Georgia's season has not gone that well, and OSU should be itching to shut up their critics. Georgia still has a tough game with GT this weekend, don't know what a loss in that game would do to their bowl prospects.
THE 2008 Big Ten Champs.....
Do you have an ability to come up with your own conclusions or do you just repeat everything that Mark May tells you?moneymaker02 wrote:do you honestly think ohio state can beat georgia??? tek ive backed up before but osu cant hang with georgia, osu is way too slow.tekekini wrote:Actually what I am saying is that because of the dumb bowl game tie breaking rule (team who loses to unranked oponent should not be allowed in the BCS, OSU has not lost to unranked oponent) they get to go and get destroyed by USC.San Fran Falcon wrote:So, tek, what are you saying? You'd rather play a Georgia team (lesser opponent) and FINALLY win a bowl game (to a lesser opponent)? Don't tell me you don't want to be in the Rose Bowl. And, whomever PSU plays, it will be an actual game worth watching, win or lose for PSU. Will PSU actually get "killed" by USC? Do tell, lord knows OSU has experience with it. How bad will PSU lose, and how should PSU go about it? Can "Tres" give JoePa some pointers on how to lose big?tekekini wrote:and then they lost to Iowa so what is your point? They are co-champs. They go to the Rose Bowl to get killed by USC. Congrats. I will take the Capital One Bowl and destroy Georgia.BGDrew wrote:I always hated the "Co" title attached to supposed champions. PSU and OSU had identical conference records. PSU won their game straight up, they're the champions.
Sounds like you're settling son. Capital One Bowl...I'm sure that's what all in Buckeye Nation were hoping for when this season began.
Given the situation as stated above, I will take Georgia and destroy them. Might as well accomplish one thing and beat an SEC team so those f^&*$ers will shut up. The SEC team that everyone picked to be in the national title game no less.
Yes, I am so sure OSU's players are so much slower than Georgia's
I think all of OSU's players should go back to high school because they are too slow for college. It must be true, because you said so.
Don't you realize that Florida only looks fast by design? If they played a pro style offense, they wouldn't look as fast as they do. Not to mention you have let ESPN program it into your head. You obviously don't watch OSU. Did you catch that national title game when Beanie torched LSU's secondary for a 60 yard TD run? Or when Teddy torched Florida's whole team on the opening kick?
OSU beat Michigan last year...Michigan killed Florida. Do you think Florida was that much slower last year than they were the year before? Slower than this year? If OSU is slow and beat UM then how the hell did UM beat Florida?
Care to explain or do you need to wait for Mark May to make an excuse for you so you can just repeat what he says?

man i really got him flusterd!!!!! but on the real, georgia is a bad matchup for osu, seriously. robiski and hartline wouldnt be able to get open just like they couldnt against lsu cuz all uga would have to do is play man, something teams dont see in the big 10 because their players are so slow that they cant man up with anyone which is why everyone plays zone.
