A true 5 game suspension should mean he is entirely disassociated from practices, team meetings and events until after the Michigan State game.
This morning I read about his "self-imposed" five game penalty and almost spit out my Sausage, Egg, and Cheese McGriddle sandwich. The only reason he "announced" his additional three game suspension was because the parents of the Tattoo5 were screaming about the kids getting punished worse than the coach (although a player not playing in five games and a coach being fined $250K, well, let's just say that's a helluva lot of tattoos and gold chains that Coach Tressell loses compared to the players). And he did not even announce his extra games until after the appeal for the Tattoo5 was denied by the NCAA.
If they stick by the five game suspension, they should be for the Bowl Game, the Michigan game, and three other Big10-11-12 games, not the meaningless out-of-conference home stand. And I agree with you kdog - if you suspend him, then he cannot be at practice or anywhere near the Woody Hayes Athletic Complex during his suspension.
Does the Commissioner of the Big 10-11-12 suspend him (ala the SEC Commissioner and Bruce Pearl) in addition to facing possible sanctions from the NCAA?
I am waiting on the Attorney General to investigate him for fraud because their is over $20 million involved here (not just five players selling memorabilia for tattoos but bowl game money, season ticket sales, etc).
