Larranaga's tough decision

Post by rollalong94 »

Pardon me if I am redundant on this (I couldn't find it posted here).

Did you see what happened late in the George Mason game? Their leading scorer pulled a Chris Paul on a Hofstra player last night (punched him in the pills).

Mason is a bubble team (RPI 39), and they decided to suspend this guy for their next game. Gotta wonder if this will hurt their chances. Wilbon and Kornheiser were giving props to Jimmy for making such a tough decision. Not sure if it was him or the administration making the final call.

They were likely NIT-bound before the suspension. Losing in the tourney semis gave the selection committee the excuse they needed to keep them out of the dance.

This suspension just seals the deal.

Not a tough decision at all. You sit his butt for the remainder of the season not just for one game. These type of thug actions have no place in college sports.

And YES - Coach K should have benched Laettner for stepping on the UK player.
