ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio University football coach now claims he wasn't driving drunk when police found him slumped over behind the wheel of his car.
Frank Solich, 61, said someone slipped him an illegal drug on Nov. 26. He was found in his vehicle, which was facing the wrong direction on a one-way street, NBC 4 reported.
The Sporting News reported that new evidence was found in the coach's case.
An independent toxicology report found the presence of GHB, otherwise known as the "date rape drug," in Solich's system.
Solich was found guilty after he pleaded no contest. He had his license suspended for 180 days, was fined $250 and was ordered to complete a three-day driver intervention program.
Solich is now fighting the charge.
