So how is OSU #1 in the nation again? Oh, that's right. Their D will be even better in 2006.
We shall see....

Its a popular topic for media, yea they lost 9 starters and they are getting 9 more that are more athletic. no they can not replace AJ but AJ is one man. As a group the linebackers can and will be better.
This artice didnt even go into any depth. this was a NO S**T article.. Tell us something we dont know.
Obviously 95% of the media and sports writers whose jobs are to evaluate the teams see that the D is going to be quite OK.
Your hate for OSU has given you false hope for OSU to fail.
They can lose 1 game and still reach the title game. I have a stong feeling that the champ this year will have 1 loss.
it will be tough for anyone to go undefeated. Nobody really has an easy schedule.

Talk about taking things too literally. Pot, meet kettle.

Being both a Falcon Fan and a Buckeye Fan, I see it all here in Columbus. Unfortunately not enough Falcon stuff.
What I sense in Columbus is similiar to the feeling before the 2002 season. People know the Bucks are good, but not quite sure how good. We are worried about the Defense, and everyone on Offense is healthy and returning. But the interesting thing is that Tressel has been able to build depth in his recruiting. He has players that gain valuable playing experience as back-ups, only to jump in and play lights out when they become starters. Hawk, Carpenter, and most of the DB's saw extensive time as reserve players and no one questioned their abilities when they became starters. I think the same will be said this season. If they can get by Texas, which without Vince Young at QB, appears likely, then I think OSU will have another great season. The question mark remains how much of a step did Penn State take after last season, despite losing their QB to graduation, and what about Michigan. Carr is on the hot seat and many predict that he will be gone if he doesn't win the Big Ten, or doesn't beat OSU and Penn State.
Only time will tell, but this ought to be an interesting season for all fans.
