Campus Not Without Incident Following Big Win
Officials: 30 Fires Set In Campus Area
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- As many as 30 fires were set in the campus area following Ohio State's victory Saturday evening and officials said a car was driven through firefighters' temporary command post, sending two people to the hospital.
Authorities said a bevy of fires were set near Indianola and Chittenden Avenues, forcing fire crews to set up a temporary command post at the Student Union, located on High Street.
Officials said that a driver ran their car through that command post injuring three people. One of the injured included Columbus battalion chief Kevin O'Connor.
Two others -- retired firefighter William Rich and his wife -- were also injured and transported to the Ohio State University Hospital.
Their injuries were not life threatening.
Authorities said the driver was arrested and that they are connected with the OSU cheerleading team.
Officials said alcohol may have been a factor.

Do the crime, do the time. Doesn't matter if you're from OSU, UT, BGSU, OU, Denmark.

I totally agree with that. But why label them as traitors?? For all you know they were down there wearing orange and brown and watching BG in a bar. That is why I said this thread is a waste. It's a shame it was started to bait a little troll we all know who responded right on cue. I would just like to see us focus on BGSU related items and not try to smear other schools we may have a personal vendetta against. It's not good to throw stones at your neighbor if you live in a glass house.

If a BGSU student was in Columbus watching the game at a bar, how does that explain the behavior to go set fires? I'm pretty sick and tired of this "I go to BG, but like OSU" mentality.
Stupidity has no race.

They still have to come to the culture of stupidity to do these acts. At BGSU its not like we dont have idiots. Their just are not enough to form the mob mentality.

Talk all you want. But don't come in and bait this little troll. As much as we all seem to hate what he says some sure do a lot to make sure he always has plenty to comment on. What possible good came of posting there were fires lit in Columbus after the Texas game? Seriously, was that for anything other than trying to one up OSU?
By the way the guy who hit the battalion chief was an ex OSU cheerleader.
And I am sure he is being dealt with appropriatly. What does that matter up here at BG?

The BG game was not televised live. It was shown on BCSN on tape delay. There's no reason why a BGSU student would be in Columbus to cheer on BG.
