This is a bit ridiculous. How is this any different than the stupid bells on third down, or even the falcon screech when we get a first down?
What is this world becoming when we can't even keep fans into the game and fire them up in a home football environment. What next, no mascots on the sidelines? Too distracting to the QB.

The only mascot I'm interested in banning is this one:

I think South Carolina should use Toledo's new mascot.

This was a pretty big deal down here in Spurrierland. Taped recordings played over the P.A. are a bit ridiculous- talk about 100% artificial. So I don't mind that they will ban them.
My thought on the canned piped in noise, sounds, songs, is similar to mine and Drew Carey's feelings on drinking games- "If you need a game to get excited about drinking, you're not a real drinker."
"If you need a squeeling pig, angry mountain lion, crowing hen, etc. to get excited about your football team, you're not a real fan."

For my money, I hope the ban all the stupid canned noise. In particular, that stupid use of Hells Bells on third downs. I mean please, maybe if you can stop them, but at BG these days? Its almost a joke. As for the BGSU Falcon squeak, I hate it, it is the most lame stunt they've come up with. Nearly as bad as the really cheap computer graphics they show on the score board.

Hey now...stay off the Falcon-Hawk shriek!
