WVU rolled up over 500 yards of offense on the #5 team in the country and their star RB was injured. How can you say they were over rated? :?

I think what frustrates Bowling Green fans is what U of L has done in the past few years. I wasn't long ago, maybe 5-6 years that our football programs were very even, and how they have maintained that excellence, even with a change of coaches, and are now in the top 5 in the nation, with NO letdown in site.
They now have a waiting list for season tickets, plans to add 20,000 + seats to their new stadium as well as loges etc.
I only hope........................

They hadn't played anyone decent the whole year and were ranked so high..then get beat by another IMO overrated group...

don't forget, they also gave up almost 500 yards..

If BG had Papa John, Rick Pitino, and Bobby Petrino hanging around, I bet we could do the same thing.

Not to mention a population of 250,000 with no other D-1A college football teams within at least an hour or so...

West Virginia is a #8-10 ranked team and Louisville is a #6-8 ranked team IMO. I agree that both are good teams, but not as elite as their ranking would indicate. OSU versus U of L will be a bloodbath if it comes down to that.

I just had Pappa John's last night!!

p.s. We have more than 250,000 within 30 minutes of us!! It takes that long to drive from the east side of Louisville to Pappa John.

So if Louisville had lost instead, your original post would have been the same except for inserting Louisville for WVU? :P

Both teams are pretty flawed. WVU's a better team, but just made too many mistakes. They're both top 15 teams without a doubt, but I don't think either is good enough to beat OSU, Michigan, Auburn, Florida, Cal, Texas consistently.

Louisville is going to lose to Rutgers next week, and then Rutgers is going to lose to WVU.

I don't see how losing to U of L makes them overrated. The cardinals are a good football team. With Brohm nearly 100% again they can score on any team.

I may have to turn in my OSU fan card because if Louisville were to make it to the championship game against them I would probably be rooting for Louisville. Why? Just because I'm tired of all the people saying that they don't deserve a shot at the title.

They may not be as complete a team as OSU or Michigan, but I personally don't think their schedule has been that much worse. Outside of ND & Texas those two teams have played NOBODY this year. The Big 10 is awful.

I think Louisville will likely get beat by double digits against either of those teams, but that doesn't mean I don't think they deserve a chance. They're in a BCS conferece (albeit a weak one), and they tried to schedule quality teams (not their fault KSU & Miami are bad now). They deserve their shot at the title. I think it'd be fun to see them win it...I just like to say "Louisville!" a la Tom Jackson :)

I don't know the numbers of the guy that's filling in at RB, but can you imagine Louisville with Michael Bush in the backfield? Him going down for the year and Brohm missing some time really had them spinning their wheels in the polls, even if they kept winning. If those two stay healthy, who knows what they'd have pulled off by now.

Lousiville is going to lose agasint Rutgers. Rutgers won't fumble the game away at home. Their program will be so pumped for this game, they are going to play with their hair on fire the whole game.

Rutgers by double digits.
