CMU lost it's first game in the Coaches Vs. Cancer classic in East Lansing today. They lost 74-50 to YSU. They were down 25 at halftime. They committed 18 fouls in the first half, shot 5-23 from the field, and 1-9 from the three point line in the first half. I was following it on stat tracker, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing pop up. Everytime I looked up, YSU was scoring one way or the other. I know CMU isn't supposed to be good this year, can someone tell me how good YSU was last year, and how they are supposed to be this year. I just couldn't imaging a MAC team losing to YSU. I know it's early, but that shouldn't happen. I can't wait for reports from tonight's exhibition game.

YSU was picked 8th out of 9 teams in the Horizon League preseason poll. I think they were pretty lousy last year. Didn't we beat them?
As far as BG, we're starting to pull away after a pretty slow start.

YSU has a terrible basketball program, they have not been good in years. They went 7-21 last leason and are not predicted to be any better. So CMU must be awful.
We played YSU in 2004 and won by about 20 points.

I know YSU has been down, but why would you say no M.A.C. team should lose to them? (just curious. . .)
I remember a game in 91 or so when the Penguins took on the Falcons at Anderson and there was a bit of a scuffle and Ed Colbert played dentist with one of the YSU players at mid court.
