This is ridiculous

A game that no one seemed to want to win, now everyone wants to win... Boise St. and Oklahoma going to OT.

I picked it up halfway or so through, but from what I can see, Zabransky is playing a very Favre-esque game...and that's not always a good thing.

Gonna be a long day at work tomorrow, but this game has been awesome from the very beginning.

This could contend for a greatest bowl game, or if OU wins it will be the greatest choke job.

Unbelievable finish.

Now that was some good coaching and ballsy ass playcalling down the stretch.

What a win by Boise. In case someone forgot, non-BCS teams are unbeaten in BCS games.

I'll go ahead and be the asshole and wonder aloud how long we'll see Petersen at Boise.

Congrats to Boise State. I don't think Chris Petersen's testicles will count as carry-on luggage for the trip home, though.

On another note... that broadcast team was AWFUL. Brennaman (sp?) is almost as annoying as Joe Buck, and I thought for sure when he started to get into the "should there be a playoff" soapbox in the middle of overtime they'd dim the lights and he'd walk to a spotlight on the 50 ala Charlie Brown to finish it off. The drive Boise had with 5 minutes left, they got so hard over the "need to milk the play clock" talk that they made themselves sound even more moronic. "They snapped that with over 10 on the play clock!!!" Well, yeah... the receiver had gone OB the play before, it didn't matter when they snapped it, numb nuts. Sheesh!

Their call made the "Habitat for Humanity" football toss bit at halftime seem a lot less painful.

Oh Drew... you know you don't have to wonder about Petersen to be the asshole here...

That two point conversion was ill, sick, da bomb, and many other youthful descriptions that even at age 32 I seem way the heck too old to use.

The non-BCS conference coaches take out the mighty brass orbs when they get into these games. Urban nailed his game with Utah by pulling the trick plays and such out. And it was exactly that kind of mis-direction stuff that caught the other team off guard. A hook and ladder? Wow, make that work and you don't just gain yards, you utterly embarrass the other team. And that just plain great hand-off for the conversion. That play will get shown a million times for twenty years to come, it was that slick.

BGSU women's basketball is #11 in the RPI
George Mason went to the Final Four
Boise State beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "MID-MAJOR!"
You're either in Division I, or you're not!

Probably the best game I've ever seen. Haven't officially made up my mind if last year's Rose Bowl was better, but I doubt it. Extremely happy for Boise State. I feel like all "mid-major" fans can take a little pride in this. Yeah, Utah beat Pitt in '04, but Pitt isn't Oklahoma, and the Big East was trash that year with only 7 teams after Miami and VT left. Terrific win for the Broncos, and next year's preseason poll should read 1. USC, 2. Michigan, 3. Boise State.

If Boise State isn't either 1 or 2 in the final polls, I'm going to be taking some vacation time to personally visit some voters.

I'd vote them number three right now, and nothing that happens the rest of the year would change that.

So if OSU beats Florida by 30, you wouldn't put Boise at #2?

Correct, I'd put USC back at number 2. But lets be very clear, since we are also debating this in another thread. I'm ranking them based on what I think is true. Assumptions. Subjective stuff. Not a playoff as you advocate, which still would not change what I'd feel based on the games I've seen.

So if there was a playoff, and Boise went on to beat USC and OSU, you still wouldn't put them #1?
