And the King Cole Foods employees who know Mr. Manni said he never offered a UT player $10,000 not to play in a game. One of those employees said “we might’ve taken a few [UT athletes] to dinner … and if that’s a crime, indict us.”

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

I thought the same thing. I'm also confused as to WHY Manni the Moocher was so enamored with UT athletics and also a heavy better on them.

There's a disconnect. This very well may blow over at this point.

I laughed out loud when I read that.

I wonder if Carty Finkbeiner, a well-known UT man, had anything to do with that.

Scoot McDoot keeps saying Manni "was just a friend" he was a guy "I considered a friend". How many 18-22 year old college kids are friends with 40+ men enough to kick it with them?? Seemed a bit odd to me, maybe I am just off base.

Not necessarily buying Scooter's explanation for a minute but the same comment came up on UT's board and a couple students reminded the poster about how much time they spent hanging out with the "old" guys at the Jambulance (the Rocketified ambulance tailgating machine), taking road trips with the "old" guys in the Jambulance and going out to bars after games with the "old" guys from Lot 10 (our major tailgate lot).

Old is in quotes so in case Ranger Rocket reads this he doesn't kick my butt or worse yet not let me hang out with the "old" guys at the Jambulandce.

But can the old guys at the Jambulance get killer deals on cell phones, know where to pick out the best groceries, and know that you always double down on 11?

Just askin... :-D

He probably did have something to do with it. And if I'm not mistaken, Triplett never finished his degree at UT. He was one of those kids that really didn't care much about a degree. He left right after basketball season to pursue a professional basketball career in Europe and didn't finish classes and so forth. But hey, we all have guys that don't take school seriously. Every school has them and every school has players that end up being academically ineligible at some point in their careers.

That said, I hear he is making more money than most of those BG graduates that are now teachers in elementary and high schools.

I bet he isn't making more than Tekekini!

Hey now...I represent that remark.

Having said that, you are probably right.
