Does a loss by the Alabama football team to the University of Louisiana-Monroe really compare to 9/11 or Pearl Harbor?

What he said was taken pretty far out of context. Still not something to even mention in the same sentence though.

I agree with Drew. It should not have been said Saban, but ESPN among others really ran with it.

Well ... ESPN, of course, took it too far, but it really wasn't taken that far out of context. I watched the extended piece from the press conference and Saban really came across as a dope.

Before every press conference the coaches and players should be required to view the public service message "It's just a GAME." Comparing any modern athletic competition to acts of war is ignorant.

I wonder how the Crimson Tide faithful feel about the $40 Million deal now.
I thought they got the score wrong and every time I saw it scroll at the bottom of the TV, I couldn't believe it.
