Or not. The quickie presser he gave, doesn't actually have him saying he isn't going to consider a job later on.
So, let the guessing games continue.

He'll be coaching UM next year.

The buyout Miles would have to pay is pretty hefty at 1.25 mill but I'm sure UM can cover it. 8)

I've got the feeling that there are more twists and turns to this story.

I'd be curious as to his source at Michigan that told him Miles was coming to Michigan.

Jesse Palmer sounded very skeptical about the "source." Is a former buckeye ruining Michigan's chances of landing its man?

OK, now Les Miles says he's is not going, and will be back the next year. This on CBS.

Hae we learned NOTHING from the Urban Meyer defection?? I will believe Les Miles is coaching anywhere in the country when the ink meets the contract and not until. I don't care if the source is Les Miles himself.

I doubt there was any intent there, I think Herbstreit has a lot of integrity and wouldn't report this if he didn't think he had it on good authority. If I were OSU I would want Miles to be Michigan's head coach. I don't see the fasination with Miles as a head coach, I think he's in that large group of good head coaches, but not in the great category with Meyer, Carrol, Stoops and Tressel. I'm a little concerned because Miles has never won anything as a head coach. No conference or division titles at Oklahoma State and I always hear how LSU has the best talent year in and year out in the SEC and yet no conferences titles yet unless they can win today.

Myles has not signed any deals...UM now has permission to start talking to him starting NOW. Game is over and it is after midnight. what a distraction for the title game...they have to wonder where their coach's head is at and they are prolly back in the title game.
key point is he has not signed anything with LSU..he did this same thing with Oklahoma State....then he took the LSU job.
