Wow. You could lite NYC with the electricity in the air for this game. This could be amazing.

Pretty cool that both of the head coaches are Ohio guys with Pinkel a Kent State grad. and Stoops a Youngstown feller.

Mizzou drops behind by a TD, late 3rd.

now we have to pull for OU so we can see osu go up against another SEC team (UGA or LSU...does it matter?)

Ohio State will get into the title game. No question.
As to the team they play? Beats the heck out of me. LSU comes to mind, again. But after this weekend, lots of options. I think the voters would want to give another team a chance, maybe a Va Tech. But even though LSU lost while number 1 twice, they continue to seem to be the best alternative.
It'll happen in a hurry. Too bad we can't have a week to grind out the debate, it would be fun.

OSU opponent?
Georgia - did not win their conference title - should be automatically knocked out of consideration
Kansas - played one team with a pulse all year and lost
Hawaii - played a terrible schedule, but at least they have not lost (yet)
USC - I think they're one of the 2 best teams, but the loss to Stanford is inexcusable.
Oklahoma - two road losses to marginal teams
Va. Tech - They won their conference title, but they got whacked by LSU. No way should they be in the conversation.
LSU - two losses in triple overtime. SEC champ that seems like the best choice to face OSU.
WVU and Missouri - had their chance and blew it tonight.
This is the BCS' worst nightmare and I am loving it.

I think people who think this is the worst nightmare of the BCS are the ones that don't like it in the first place. As such, no, I don't think its that bad. Indeed, I think the slate of games due to come out of this mess will be very well received.
Its the title game that is said to be a mess. I would not write GA off just for not having won the conference. Flukes happens, and sometimes that costs a good team a title. Since "the best" team is a subjective thing in all cases, whomever rates as the best now should go.
In the end, I figure its LSU. Though frankly they struggled against TN.

Gary and the Tigers lose, likely out of the BCS. So at least, no more stories about him in the papers.

Just another reason to me why the BCS is complete crap: Mizzou is the #1 team, loses to a top 10 team, and they now will not go to a BCS game while Illinois or Arizona State does. Stupid.

They MIGHT be out.
Anyway, I'm enjoying the chaos, just not for the same reasons others are.

Bring on the SEC baby!!! LSU is not that good. They always struggle, they are slow, OSU would match up with them the best out of anyone.
I love it.
Win or lose, atleast OSU is in the game AGAIN!!! 3 times in 6 years! Impressive!
And Les Myles is an overrated coach. He sucks. He has not signed a deal with LSU yet, no matter what he tells his team, I hope he still goes to UM.
Everyone tells their teams they aren't leaving when there are still games to play and then they leave when it is over. He now has permission to talk to UM. LSU said they have to wait until after Satuday and it is now over!
Let the distractions continue!

Sounds a lot like the hype before the Florida game last year.......
I enjoyed that game from the sports bar on deck 13 of the Navigator of the Seas....ahhhhhh, no finer way to watch a game.

If it is indeed LSU it won't be anything like the buildup to the Florida game last year. All the analysts will be saying OSU doesn't have a chance and predicting blowouts just like they were last year about Florida, especially considering the game is in New Orleans. It might be better to be the underdog in that game, 7 of 9 underdogs have won the BCS title game.

It'll be a game so heated, even the team colors clash.
Actually, for LSU its a home game. And lord knows if OSU can bring 25,000 fans to Arizona, they'll bring twice that to a simple drive down south.
Should be a boon to the local economy down there, if there are people around to take advantage of it.

The BCS is a mess...period. Hmmm...let the playoff talk begin again.
And I don't give a crap about who plays in the "title" game...All I care about is BG winning the GMAC Bowl.
