The selection show starts in a few minutes.

Predictions? Comments? The debate about the BCS is scheduled for later early next year. But for now, how does it seem things shook out?

But they are talking Commercial FREE, for the first half hour of filler.

Remind me not to buy the sponsors product.

I keep forgetting, there is "another" game that is now the Sugar Bowl.

Missouri got jobbed. Hard. They beat two teams in BCS games, Illinois and Kansas, yet are missing from this field? That doesn't make much sense.

Also, why is it just a given that the BCS Buster is automatically slotted in the game with last pick? Did Boise State's win mean nothing? Do people still think these "Mid-Majors" don't belong on the same field? Geographically, wouldn't a Georgia-WVU matchup in the Sugar and a Hawaii-Oklahoma matchup in the Fiesta make the most sense? I just can't believe that West Virginia is so much more attractive than Hawaii as a program that the Fiesta Bowl wouldn't want the Warriors. In any event, Oklahoma is probably happy they don't have to play a WAC team again.

Looks like when BG runs the table next year, we'll be heading to the Orange Bowl.

EDIT: I saw the final standings and Missouri is sixth. Whatever happened to the rule that a top 6 finish guaranteed you a berth?

My only guess is that because Kansas went to a BCS game, Mizzou couldn't go for some odd reason relating to conference or some other garbage. They got hosed big time, but on the flip side had they beat Oklahoma last night they wouldn't be in this position.

Only 2 teams from the same conference can make the BCS.

With that said? Missouri = Boned.
