This is EXACTLY why the non BCS schools do not get title shots. How mortifying for Hawaii.
lol.
UGA is about to go up 31-3 before the half.

I'm trying to think what UGA's running game is going to look like in the 2nd half when Hawaii is worn down, this could get really ugly.
Oh and 29 for Hawaii is a punk.

Good to see Hawaii is going to be proven for the frauds they are, and that Brennan can't make plays under pressure. That #118 strength of schedule has been really handy for them tonight.

#29 is from Tricky Dick's hometown of Yorba Linda. Nixon was a punk- I don't know about #29. Game isn't over- I suspect it will be a blowout but I thought Purdue was gonna blow out Central as well. Boise was a pretty good argument FOR non-BS teams getting title shots- I doubt they would have beat Florida but they could certainly have beat anybody else in the nation last year.

Why do you post here?
You haven't been welcome here in years. You are disliked, and the dislike increases with each post.
You know this, right?
Anyway, the world wasn't looking for Colt Brennan to be Joe Namath, because Boise State and Utah already made the statements that needed to be made.
I don't know very many people who thought Hawaii was as good as Boise State or Utah. Hawaii is a very good team. But their schedule was soft.

I suppose another way to look at this is that, having lost to a team that surrendered 633 yards to USC in the Rose Bowl, Ohio State's claim to be in the BCS Championship is a complete travesty and consumers ought to file a class action suit against BCS for marketing LSU vs OSU as THE national championship game.
I hope the Buckeyes win this year. Firstly, it might get the BCS out of a hole. Secondly, a 28 point thumping (or was it 27 points?) by Florida last year could just have been a bad game, but getting wiped for the second time and Ohio State start looking like a bunch of mid major chokers from a conference that generally doesn't do too well in Bowl games unless its teams land a mid major for competition.
Until such time as Division 1A can emphatically choose a national champion, a Bowl game is going to be a Bowl game, which is a catchier way of saying "showcase". For me, a winning season is a good enough qualifier for a Bowl game against another well matched D1A opponent. Anyone can win.

Everyone ripped me a month ago when I said UGA would take Hawaii behind the proveriable wood shed. I said their schedule and lack of preperation for a game of this magnitude would hinder Hawaii, two I-AA schools and thrree other schools which were absolutly pathetic. Hawaii didn't have the same balance as Boise did last year, as Hawaii is typically a very heavy passing team.
Hawaii won't go on the road to play big time games, they play a patsy schedule, and they got spanked. No surprise in my book, but there are senior laden non-bcs schools that can compete, this just wasn't one of them.

that's great, I agree, I would love to see USC and Georgia meet up, that would be a great game
back to Hawaii, I must say Georgia owns the best the WC has to offer, Boise in 05, Hawaii in 07

I thought it was sad to see Georgia pile on at the end of the game. They could have put in the second string or deeper half way through the third quarter and still won by 20+ points. Hawaii was over matched and everyone knew it after the first half. I think Georgia ran up the score and didn't need to, but what do you expect out of a "have" team when they play a "have not" team.

This from the genius who was talked into bombing Ireland not long ago.
Non-BCS schools are now 2-1 in BCS bowls. Same record you though thought was so great when you talked about the Big 10 vs. the SEC in bowl games last year.
Don't you just love being taken down by your own logic, Justin?

Hmmm...that sounds very familiar to a game I remember watching last Jan in the desert. How mortifying for that team from Columbus.

Wasn't it 41-7 before the Bucks scored their only offensive TD?
You better pray it doesn't happen again.
Now, go play in the streets and stay outta here.

That's exactly why Big 10 schools from Columbus shouldn't be given title shots.

Sorry, OSU can't control what Illinois does in their bowl game. They played a lights out game of their life against OSU. Not the Bucks fault they fell flat on their face against USC. s**t happens.
USC still lost to Stanford which looks much worse than OSU losing to another BCS bowl team, any day, any year, on any planet. Period.
As for getting wiped a second time..dont count on it. I think OSU wins by at least 10.
I know some of you will laugh..but I warn you, wait until Monday night after the game, because you may be eating crow.
P.S. Look for # 7 to get some play at QB. JT has something up his sleeve.
