Sounds like Tommy is continuing his tradition of being an idiot and hoping no one will notice.

It looks like Amaker is trying to run Harvard the same way you would run a program in the ACC, Big East or Big Ten, the three other places he's been. I don't know if that would work, comparing Harvard to those situations seems like apples and oranges.
The article made a great point about Cornell, they were awful and turned into Ivy Champs last year, while still adhering to the way Ivy schools do business in DI athletics. No one got cut, and they still got better.
And Amaker brought in a JUCO kid? To Harvard? Really? Nothing against JUCO transfers, but I can't imagine how a kid with the academic history to end up at a JUCO could ever meet the academic profile of a typical Harvard athlete. Not saying it's impossible, but I think it would have to be an extraordinary situation.

Is anyone surprised? Harvard knew what they were doing when they hired Amaker. He will make them one of the most successful Ivy League teams ever in the near future.
The best read of that blog was the article about Brownell of Wright St. IMO he is the top up and coming coach in the country. I was shocked when he didn't get the Indiana job.
