Nov. 22.

...is my Daughters birthday! She's five!

And there is a football game.

I have a natural excuse never to care about "the" game.

That said, if I have no serious dislike of Mich. something about the thumping OSU has given them in recent years is amusing. It is a rivalry game, yet I can't help but think it will be very ugly in Columbus.

I honestly think it's going to be closer than most think. OSU has yet to really impress me this season. However, I don't think Michigan can hang with them a whole game as I've only watched them play solid halves of football at a time. Michigan losing will confirm what I've been saying all season...they need a freaking quarterback! Badly!

I normally am one to say that in such a game, no, you could not count on a blow-out by OSU.

Yet, Michigan just doesn't show anything at all that makes me believe they won't get rolled over. To win would require them to be so radically different than they have been, I can't see it.

Plus, regardless of national championship games, Tressel has shown that the Michigan game, beyond any and all others, is the week he excels at. He hasn't reached his current record by accident. Whatever Voodoo he does, it works. His Kung Fu is strong.

Weird post. What does Nov 22 and OSU and Michigan have to do with "the" game? Happy fifth to your daughter. Great age- they never ask any questions, do just what they are told and exhibit no curiousity about the world. Nice, peaceful time.

curiousity: curiosity

Anyway, the day she was born, by c-section, was also the OSU-Mich. game day. I had to deal with the effing anesthesiologist moron sitting there in the room, waiting for the epidural to kick-in, reading the sports section on the game. And the dumb comments during the 'effing c-section about the score. (the moron anesthesiologists handiwork "migrated" 15 minutes after my wife got out of the surgery and she lost all pain relief. I'm told he may still be at Wood County. We gave explicit orders that he not be allowed near my wife for my son's delivery. The man was a wholesale jerk.

But mainly the inevitable comments about the game walked the line between irritating me and amusing me.

My daughter is 5 going on 25. My nearly 3 year old son is going on 20.

I've been reading too many of Zom's posts. Fortunately, "the"game is the day before the OSU-UM game so you'll be able to relax on your daughter's birthday. Well, actually I hope that the carryover from "the" game makes your day the most miserable experience of your life but I mean that in the best possible way... :-D

Oh BGWarrior...you're treading a fine line there buddy...I like OSU but it's Falcons all the way...this game has meant less to me since I stepped foot on the Bowling Green Campus...that being said, I'll be rooting for OSU.
