Potential first round upsets

Post by MarkL »

Feel free to post your potential first round upsets in the NCAA tournament here.

They're still being announced, but the first one that has popped at me as an upset is #11 Dayton over #6 WVU.

#11 VCU over #6 UCLA

How about the SEC's highest team being an 8 seed and three teams total?! Not a good year in the southeast.

Isn't Utah State one of the top few in the country as far as # of wins? I could see them being a cinderalla story this year.

I like all of these calls. However, I'm surprised nobody on here has called it. I like Cleveland State (yes, I said it  ) over Wake. This will be one of the few times I root for a Cleveland-based team.
I also like the other Bowling Green based team over Illinois, and Northern Iowa over Purdue.
I cannot wait to see how quickly my brackets get effed-up.

So far so good...I'm batting 1.000! Now, I just need Washington to finish up the first half of my day!

I went 15 for 16 on Thursday. I'm kind of crashing back down to Earth after the 1st half of games today. Still looking solid overall though. How's everyone else doing with their picks?

Thought I was doing very well, until I realized the guy I told to pick my bracket up out of my desk never did. I'm going to have to plead a little to get it to go through.

I'm 25 out of 32 in the 1st round. I still have 15 of my sweet 16 picks still alive. How 'bout them CSU Vikings?!?

I got 24 right in the first round but I have all of my sweet 16 still. I only lost one of my projected 2nd round winners though, Wake Forest.

If you lost a team you have winning in the second round how is it that you have your Sweet 16 in tact?
