Urbie goes thurmonuclear on Ron Zook

He finds a target to criticize other than BG for once:

His methods and his results speak for themselves. I don't see the value in reminding everyone what a great job he's done and dancing on poor Ron Zook's body 5 years after the fact, especially when 18 Ron Zook recruited starters helped propel them to their first national title in 2006.

Urban speaks his mind, no doubt about that. He should probably work on being a bit more careful giving his views in public but he is what he is....one hell of a football coach.
Also, check out this article on Tim Tebow and the pictures that accompany it. The dude's physique is sick.

BEST all around college football player in the nation, IMO. He's my favorite player not on the BG roster.

I think the Gators are gonna roll to another title....CHOMP CHOMP.

Maybe I missed something, but I've never heard him have bad things to say about BG.

Hmmmm...I sense a man-crush.

As to the comment about steroids- the guy does have an enormous melon.

Please don't confuse me with Chris Matthews and his man crush on Pres Obama.
I highly doubt Tebow is on 'roids...if someone can prove it, I'll man up and say I was wrong.

Freak-you're absolutely right, Tebow's a freak of nature. Don't be surprised to see both of them leave for the greener pastures of the NFL next year.
Yd-Off the top of my head, he's publicly mocked our media support, our administration (when he was there), our fans, our facilities, the rotary clubs he had to speak to while at BG and a lot more. He's praised the community, but only in the context of how it can hypnotize coaches into staying longer than they should instead of leaving after the first bit of success like he did. Only the most recent of innumerable examples:

Why he still needs to do this after winning two national championships is beyond me. I don't hear Nick Saban constantly comparing his jobs at LSU and Alabama to Toledo.

Is is really a surprise that Saint Urban would do something like this? Really?? It was totally unnecessary. He has had success where Zook didn't. Zook hasn't done an awful job at Illinois, it is Illinois after all. Just because Zook's style wasn't the right one for Florida Urban's criticism was just plain rude. But, it's what I have come to expect. Urban is like another former BG coach, only consistently successful.

Uh, Ok. I won't- not really sure how we got there from football and Tebow but, OK. As for the steroid thing, I'd be surprised if Tebow uses them - that comment after the article just made me realize how gigantic his head really is. Like a battering ram.

You know, the more and more I read about Tim Tebow, the more I can't hate the guy. I read that entire GQ article and it's just amazing the things that kid does. Keep it up Timmy!

As the mother and grandmother of 2 males that have "large" heads (I'd say enormous but he reads this site), I certainly can attest that large noggins happen without steroids! And they can grow some serious hair!

Just having a little fun at Matthews' expense.

Meyer doesn't hold back and doesn't sugar coat. I don't know why this constantly shocks people.

Nobody in this thread seemed the least bit shocked- a couple sound pizzed- does that count?
