Mike Ward on shaky ground at UT?

Post by Flipper »

Timmah is getting "more involved". Either Beckman has lost confidence in his staff or he's insecure as a HC and wants to get back on familiar ground as a DC....

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

That's a fundamental management error. When you ascend to a job that takes you out of your comfort zone, the natural reaction is to lean on what got you there. I've been in the situation several times and it's really tempting, but it's a bad move.

Didn't Beckman coordinate a pretty bad defense at OKSt? If I remember correctly, the defense had its moments in 08 but on the whole they were just not good ... and they were very talented.
