I'll always remember the BG mascot pulling a (toy) gun at a UT basketball game in the seventies and waving it in front of one of our free throw shooters. He was ejected- today he'd probably be at Gitmo. Didn't try to shoot Rocky though.

I don't agree with the fact that he actually got the position as Rufus just so he could tackle Brutus but to be honest with you, I did find what happened rather funny. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the video. I was at work (which is a quite enviroment) and I laughed so hard everyone turned to give me the scalded eye. With that aside, I do agree with Ohio expelling him out of the mascot corp for what he did. That is not a good way to represent your school no matter how funny or enjoyable it is. It was still wrong and was only funny because no one got hurt. Just like h2o said about toledo and the gun situation, the guys could have been carrying a knife or something. Makes sense because of how he was talking about planning this whole thing for a long time.
