The BC$ stripped USC of its 2004 National Title today.

The same sort of thing could happen to Ohio State in the next few years for all of their BCS games.

Now then...what would the scarlet and gray sheep have to say about that?

well you see... the problem is... they lost a few national title games in a row so they don't really have national titles to strip from them. Taking away Fiesta Bowl wins wouldn't sting as much. Also as much as I hate to say it, I don't see the 2002 title coming off the books for them. Maurice was deemed ineligible in the offseason so unless something major comes to light I don't see them losing that title. I know new information is uncovered every day in Inkgate, but I just don't see it happening. Besides, I actually didn't mind that team as much, because Krenzel was a STUDENT athlete. Nobody could major in that and not be focused on academics. Besides, he was a Michigan kid that came to Ohio and beat the team up north. I dislike the Buckeye fans, but I dislike Michigan more...

So, does USC have to give back the money it earned by winning that game? That is what would really hurt. "Take away a title" and a team knows they were still the best. Take the money from the school and see how often they go after kids with questionable character.

The NCAA won't strip o$u of their BCS title in 2002. But how hard will the NCAA come down on o$u in light of everything they're doing to penalize USC? Seems to me it will be pretty significant in light of the USC happenings.
Krenzel is a good dude...smart player and heck of a student at o$u. I always liked the way he carried himself.
