Summary ...
Penn State. 0-2 and ineligible.
Ohio State. Playing well but ineligible.
Michigan. Got hammered by Alabama and snuck by Air Force.
Michigan State. Possibly the best team.
Indiana. It is Indiana.
Purdue. Might be the best in their division, and that should say something.
Illinois. Got hammered by Arizona State.
Northwestern. Its Northwestern.
Wisconsin. Snuck by Northern Iowa and lost to a bad Oregon State team.
Iowa. Snuck by Northern Illinois and lost to Iowa State in Iowa City.
Minnesota. Needed 3 OT to beat UNLV.
Nebraska. Got beat by UCLA.
The Big Can't Count, Eastern Version, is in for a big down year, and I love it! (And I went to a Big Ten school for grad school)
Edited because I should quit posting using my phone

I know you posted this quite awhile ago, but Oregon St. has proven NOT to be a bad team, to say the least, unless you count being ranked in the top 10 "Bad". And Mich. St. has NOT proven itself to possibly be the best team, by far. But your original premise is pretty much "on target".... the MAC has done a nice job of cutting the B-whatevers down to size a bit. Wins over Minn., P.State, Indiana etc. have helped the MAC's overall rep, which is probably its highest since the 03-04 era.

Wouldn't it be nice to either have a time machine or see into the future? Oregon State head coach Mike Riley should be national coach of the year. Add to the other screwups based off first two weeks ... Purdue is 0-3 and I bet unless there's a stunning finish to the season that Hope is shown the door in December. But hey ... message is still true from the first two weeks, Big Ten is not good at all this year.

But with the media love affair of one Urban Meyer - IF he can get O$U through their schedule undefeated (which will be tough to do with Michigan yet to play), but if he can take a team that is really a middle-of-the-road Big 10 squad and they go undefeated during their regular season, don't you think the media would continue that UM love affair and annoint him as COY instead.
They'll be howling that regardless of the fact that O$U cannot compete in the Big 10 title game and cannot play in a post-season bowl game, that UM had nothing to do with O$U being placed on sanctions and that he did a great job getting them to believe in themselves.

I think the Bucks go down this weekend. They are 8-0 but they have yet to play a good team.
