So it might be important to have people knowledgeble about college athletics picking high level athletics administrators after all.

Among the revelations:
-Hermann was not among the 60 names given to the search commmittee by the search firm they employed
-The co-chair had no experience in athletics and supposedly was largely responsible for choosing Hermann
-The same co-chair personally vetted the finalists by googling their names
Their committee had 28 people, only two of whom had any experience whatsoever in college athletics. In other words, a cluster****. Among the committee members were an associate professor of Portuguese and an associate professor of library information science, perhaps in case they decide to scrap the whole football thing and open a Barnes and Noble in Brazil.

We can only hope that Clawson, Voll and a couple of the others are enough to save our own committee from themselves.
