For those who are interested, in today's USA Today, there is an article on the front page of the sports section on Solich. Nice to see the MAC getting quite a bit of press lately...

Thanks for pointing that out CF. It's a pretty good read with some real gems in there. Like...

"The 9-3 record that got Solich fired at Nebraska in 2003 would be the greatest season at Ohio in 37 years."

"And the Ohio players here are sick of seeing students walking around campus in Ohio State T-shirts."

"I'm used to stadiums being full," he said. "It doesn't matter to me if it's a stadium that seats 24,000-25,000 or 80,000. All that matters to me is that it's full," Solich said.

I'll tell ya what....Solich in Athens concerns me. He did very well at Nebraska (obviously not good enough for Lincoln) and is a big name. Ohio could be a sleeping giant. Getting back in the East, we will need to keep an eye on the Bobcats.

Thanks for the link!

Freak,
I know what your saying, but Ohio doesn't necessarily concern me. In fact, I'm more or less cheering for them to make the step up into the upper tier of the MAC. OU improving will only help the MAC. We need more teams that can compete with everyone in the nation week in and week out. I truly hope Solich can do what no one has done at Ohio in a very long time. Just as long as he doesn't do to good of a job.
