Toledo vs Fresno State. Questions

I really don't know much about Toledo. Are they for real?

I haven't followed the MAC a lot in the past but now that Boise State has home and homes set up with BGSU, Toledo, and Miami, I am trying to learn more about MAC football.

I do know a lot about Fresno. They are a tough "in your face" team. They have, traditionally, had better athletes than BSU.(although BSU has closed the gap the last couple of years). IMOHO FSU can play with any team in the PAC 10 (outside of USC).

Since FSU (like BSU) is having a hard time getting 1-1's with BCS teams, I think that FSU is also trying to line up 1-1's with other top non-BCS. I had heard once that FSU was talking to BGSU about a possible upcoming series.

I also heard that BSU and BGSU were talkinkg about extentending the current 2 game contract. Have any of you heard any information about this?

Thanks in advance if you have any comments.

Good luck with Temple this week.

Toledo's QB is hurt and he's the staple of their offense. Toledo will lose....badly.

Uh oh, Toledo is down 20-7 all of a sudden. They are having difficulty stopping the run as well.

27-7, bad memories with that halftime score. Amstutz is at his best at the half. It will be interesting to see what will happen in the 2nd half.

Of course he is, he gets his fill of carbs before coming out.

That said, I swear if I had a dime for each time he gets caught on camera, on national TV, with something to eat or drink in his hand, I would be rich.

Anybody else feeling a little bit better about themselves watching this game?

I enjoy watching Toledo get their a$$es kicked as much as the next guy, but these past 3 weeks have been disasterous for the MAC. One noteworthy OCC win out of how many? Yikes !!

Anyone feeling a little silly for the way the came down on our team?

For what it is worth, it is ashame that Toledo had Gradkowski out and we didn't have a 100% P.J. Both of these games look much worse than they should have if our two squads were at full strength.

That being said, we can at least feel better about our chances against Toledo (if we are into extrapolation, which I am not, personally) because at least we got "blown out" by a better program...

BTW, 44-7 as we speak.

Nothing is happening except Fresno running up the score

Here's how I look at it BO (btw, worst abbreviation ever  ) these games don't mean much to BG or Toledo. Yeah, we got embarassed but these aren't conferences games.

I definately share your perspective there. They are more detrimental to the conference's standing as a whole, but program to program they don't mean a whole lot to us or anyone for that matter. It would have been nice if BG and UT could have won the two games, but, eh? I'll take a MACC any day, and I think once UT fans stop drinking the same Drano that everyone around here was drinking last week, I think they'd tell you the same thing.

Oh, and Drew, you wouldn't believe how accurate my abbreviation can be at times...
