Talk about the Buckeyes the Wolverines the Hilltoppers the Ducks the Beavers the Chanticleers... or anyone else who isn't BG or an opponent in this forum.

Real concerns about Amstutz

Post by Bleeding Orange »

First of all, I want to make it clear that this post is totally, 100% serious. I'm not trying to poke fun at Amstutz or Toledo. I would have posed some of these questions over at the Toledo board, but I don't think a lot of their posters can concieve even the image of a human BG fan. Hopefully Lakeland or Ranger will see this and chime in.

That being said, I am getting increasingly more concerned about Amstutz's health. He keeps putting on weight, and it almost looked after tonights game like he is starting to have trouble walking as a result. As much as we all hate Toledo, I still have respect for Toledo Tom, and I must even admit a bit of affection. Anyone who supports their alma mater the way he does - no matter which alma mater that might be - gets my respect.

I guess I'm just concerned because it seems (at least it seems to me) that he is putting weight on so rapidly. I don't see him that often, but every time I do I get the feeling that he looks noticeably heavier. I have no idea what it is, but perhaps people should start calling him on it so that he knows people are concerned about him?

I am tired right now, so I hope this hasn't come off as insulting or derogatory. It certainly is not intended to.

He has definitely put on some weight. It still shocks me everytime he helps lead the team on to the field.

BO:

Exactly what I was thinking. When he made his way across the field after the game, I winced.

So did a lot of Californian seismologists.

In all seriousness I agree. It just doesn't look like he should be alive. Hopefully he can do something about it before it's too late because he's a very good coach.

It looked to me as though he lost a pound or two from last season.
