OSU's Youboty to NFL draft...
Youboty will forego his SR season.
What's that, 8 starters gone off that D now?

Tressel has done a helluva job stockpiling defensive talent down there man. They're losing a ton of starters, but they're putting 4 & 5 star guys in their place...if anything next year's defense might be MORE athletic than this year's. Plus they'll have had a few games to get their feet wet before we get to play 'em. I'd like our chances a lot better if we were their season opener.
Youboty had a rough year this year, really surprised he's bolting for the draft. Donte Whitner is the best player in their secondary, IMO, and he has yet to make his decision known. He did pull his name from a paid card show that would've disqualified him, so it looks as though he may be back in Columbus. His versatility makes him so useful...as an opponent of OSU he's the one I'd want to leave.

now i'm not into this whole talent evaulation or recruting thing like many of you, nor am i really into physical fitness, so i may have missed something along the way. i want to know how one bench presses 37".

I thought Whitner had declared for the draft? That was reported in the Dispatch over the weekend. I think he is a much better NFL prospect than Youboty.hammb wrote:

I agree that Tressel has done a great job of recruiting. I think the defense will be fine next year and with an offense that may put up 40+ a game, the defense won't need to be as good as it was this year.

Stop it!!!!
They may be more athletic but not nearly as experienced...which is good for our O.

Indications are that the report was premature. I've still not seen anything concrete. Like I said, he pulled his name from the paid signing gig that he was originally slotted for. That does make one wonder if he's thinking about staying.98_BG_GRAD wrote: I thought Whitner had declared for the draft? That was reported in the Dispatch over the weekend. Edited to add:
Seems as though the Buckeye coaches are assuming that he'll leave, based on talks with him. He still has not made an official declaration himself though.

They already have a True Freshman who has played for carpenter against UM and ND and looks DAMN good. D'Andrea will be back, he just needs to stay healthy. They just got a verbal today from a Linebacker from cali. Havent heard much about him but from what I have heard he is a beast, physical phenom, plays like he has a chip on his shoulder and is fairly quick.Falconfreak90 wrote:Youboty will forego his SR season.

Jamario o'neal will be in the secondary, he is supposed to be all world just like Ginn was (who could also play a little D like Gamble if needs be) They had a deep D Line. reload not rebuild. the D will be tough enough that with the Offense clicking as it has been the world of NCAA football may be in trouble. Just got to keep Troy out of trouble this summer, and play every game. All key games are home with the exception of Texas who takes a hit losing VY.

I have more of a clue than you. I can see without the borwn and orange glasses that you constantly wear. They are blinding you now take them off every once in a while. You set yourself up for dissappointment. its OK to be optimistic, the glass is half full but some of you go overboard and you get overly depressed. its all still just a game. be happy when you play well, be sad when you are down but some of you let this run your life it sounds like.Bleeding Orange wrote:I thought the one-nutter needed to see this again. You are obsessed with the damn glasses. You think everyone here wears brown and orange ones because we talk about BG in the way you obsess about tOSU. That would mean you are wearing red and gray glasses...think about it.tekekini wrote: I have more of a clue than you. I can see without the borwn and orange glasses that you constantly wear. The people you call out as going overboard, getting depessed, and setting theirselves up for dissappointment are the ones who are the total opposite.
I do agree tOSU will have a great defense again next year, though. Newcomers like Ross Homan will keep it that way. Get used to that name, it'll be tossed around just as much as AJ Hawks with time...
