Rules by committee.....

Post by Rightupinthere »

Let's have a thread of rules [read: guidelines] for this Falcon Foodie Board. Feel free to add your own.

Rule number one: Please don't attempt to push acronyms by saying the acronym then saying what the acronym means. This is called 'pulling a Rachel'.

Please don't do it.

How about "Rules of the Tailgate?"

Rule 2: If at a tailgate you eat someone's food, either bring some food or leave some money.

Rule #3 - If at a tailgate: No one tells Snakeman to "C'mon in and grab a beer!!"

Rule #4 -- If you're posting recipes, don't use measurement words like "pinch" or "dash". Nobody knows what in the Hell you're talking about.

Right, just stick to handfuls, including all liquids, except for beer, which should be dispensed direct from bottle or cask at risk of tainting flavour.

5) Beer is community property once it is in the cooler.

May I suggest another comment/rule?
Instead of possibly posting your recipe directly into the forum, put it in a topic based on its type, whether it's Mexican, Italian, "American," etc. Just a suggestion, that way we can browse based on type, instead of just trying to figure out what is what, even if some titles aren't that hard to figure out.

For a rule...

Make sure you break up your directions paragraph it's easier to read! I think all of them have been great so far! Just a suggestion for those long recipes!

"Don't forget to wash your hands, children", Mother chided. "Clean hands mean clean food"

"Yes, Mum" the fully grown adults chorused, as if they had heard it ten thousand times before.

And everybody went to the bathroom to wash their hands and play with the soap.
