My Foray into Homebrewing...

Post by BGDrew »

I brewed my first batch of beer tonight. With some suggestions by hammb I went to Titgemeier's picking up a starting kit and an IPA kit from Brewers Best. My OG was 1.060 and I'm thinking a 2 1/2-3 week fermentation will be best. I'll update with my results!

Nice! The Brewer's Best Kits were how I got my start as well. They're easy to follow and turn out a tasty beer.

Hope it turns out well for ya!

Drank the "third week" bottle from the IPA and it's pretty tasty. Great aromatics with a nice amount of bitterness. Good first kit! Thanks to Brian and Grant for the advice and encouragement!

Drew, I still haven't had your beer yet... you said to give it a couple weeks, so I took that to heart. Maybe I'll crack it open for the NCAA tourney games next week!
