Should be noted that an Irish Car Bomb is dropped in Guinness (an ale), whereas Zom was dropping his liquor in whiskey...either way it's good stuff.

Remembered another of my favorite mixed drinks, former BG RT Big Ben got me hooked on 'em. The only place that makes 'em is Ziggy's.

It's called a sticky.

It consists of Southern Comfort, Peach Schnapps, Yukon Jack, Cranberry Juice, and some Sprite. Sounds girly, but it is pretty good. Although Heidi made 'em the best and she's gone now

Read it again, Sam... he's talking about dropping it in a "draught lager". Whiskey and/or scotch is the "drop-ee".

I've heard stories of car bombs... I never remember doing them myself.

Yukon Jack ... that reminds me of a drink a friend used to enjoy during our time. Combine Yukon Jack & Mello Yello for ... Husky P*ss. Fun to order, at least.

I am a big fan of the Irish car bomb...but I've had it with a twist once. Someone offered to buy a round for a buddy and me if we did a "suicide" irish car bomb. And who's gonna turn down a free drink, right? You do a shot of tequila first. Let me tell ya, a couple of those will put you where you want to be.

Me and Tequila had a falling out my Junior year. I fear we'll never be close again.

I'm a little scared about what that would do to a person before an ICB anyway. The bomb by itself will relocate your senses pretty efficiently.

Irish car bombs rock...I'm thinking about brewing up a stout soon...wonder how an ICB would be with a homemade stout as opposed to Guinness? Hmmm...

i mustered up all my bartendery skills and figured out a "Secret" bg bar drink...i wont tell ya what one, just make it and see if you can guess...or feel more bavarian nudge nudge

1 part vodka (as tasteless a vodka as you can find...NOT POTATO)
1 part white rum (i usually use bacardi ...its just...better)
1 part amaretto
2 parts oj
splash of roses's lime....if you dont have it use sour mix.

serve over ice in a highball ... save yourself fighting the line..or angry mob i should say. drink a few and next thing you know you'll be making out with a stranger on an old beersoaked church pew.

as for my BEST mixed drink recipe..well at work people ask if i'm in to make em bloody marys or margaritas... but those are secret

i can give ya a tip though..if ya dig bloody marys then take a cheap bottle of vodka and freshly grind a handful of assorted pepper into it... mostly black, maybe a bit of white and whatever else ya like. dump that into the bottle of vodka and cap it. let it sit for a few days shaking it every now and then. after a few strain the vodka out through 2 layers of coffee filters and rinse the pepper parts out of the bottle and re-insert the vodka. its now spicey pepper vodka. use it in bloodys and you'll thank me for it.

god i'm the most liquor educated undergrad EVER. j/k

I really like Amaretto sours and sex on the beach....but I'm looking for a drink that is not quite so sweet. If I drink too many sweet drinks, I'll be puking without being drunk

. So I was wondering what you might recommend I drink....I'm not afraid of the hard stuff even though I am a girl.

Flicc - the bourbon and ginger ale is something you should try. My wife doesn't like stuff that's too sweet, either [insert joke about being married to me here] and she enjoys the bourbon & ginger.

There's always the vodka gimlet.

And I know gin and tonic seems so "page 4-oh-4" these days, but in those rather occasionally refined moments, nothing beats a d*mned good g & t in a decent tumbler, with plenty of ice, while on an empty stomach waiting for the local Indian take away to fire up a spot of "ruby" for me next door. Simple stuff, hits the spot every time.

Point of order:

"Ruby" - aristrocratic slang for Indian food, as in..

"Staff's off tonight, Charles, and I don't know how to start the oven. Shall we do a RUBY, dahhling?"

"What, didn't we do that last night, Camilla? We could hire a second chef for what we spend on RUBIES, and I get so confused about which naan bread to get."

"Oh, dahhling, poor thing. Now be a good princelet and go get the Landie - you'll have to go because the driver's still over the limit. Mine's chicken tikka massalla, as usual, mushroom pilau rice, a spot of bindi bahji, and a couple of poppodums. If you go now you'll only have to wait 15 minutes. Shall I write it down?"
