Not sure exactly how authentic it is, but El Camino Real at Sylvania and Douglas in Toledo is the best restaurant in Toledo IMHO. Great food, fast service, quaint atmosphere and a great price. Mariachi band on the weekends as well.

Camino does rock. El Zarape too.

Mexican food is weird for me. I absolutely love it, and I enjoy eating it out at pretty much every Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. I don't know as though I prefer any one Mexican place over the others though.

Nagoya, Japanese steak house. There is no such thing as a bad one, but the chefs at Nagoya are hilarious and the food is excellent. If you like sushi, this is a must. Catawba Rolls, Volcano rolls and Shrimp Tampura are FANTASTIC.

This forum keeps making me remember things around me that are awesome...

Hot Dog Heaven, the original one in Amherst, Ohio. It's in an old house and the whole downstairs has been converted to a "big" dining room with the kitchen taking up part. The place has been there for years but I have really been jonesing for some of their great dogs, malts and fries. Hot Dog Heaven was actually featured in "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" (Which is another great restaurant!!!) and there are only two locations...Amherst and Avon, Ohio.

Also, Dog and Suds in Sheffield, Ohio. Sit in your car, order your food, have the watiress bring it to your window and attach the tray to your car. Some of the BEST Root Beer ever made!

I'm sure more will come to me soon.

I don't know how I have forgotten to mention this, but Swenson's Drive Ins in the Akron area are incredible.

I didn't realize that there was a Hot Dog Heaven in Avon? Is it new, and where is it? I'm going to have to check this out... :)

It's actually right there in Avon Commons, I think on the same little "block" as Caribou Coffee. It's a little more "Corporate" looking but I'm sure the food is just as good as the original.

OK...Most of these places most of you won't know, but if you are ever in DC, check them out...

Café Atlantico - Owned by Chef José Andrés, a winner of Iron Chef America. Great Nuevo Latino cuisine...Was just there last week and had a fantastic dinner! Great Drinks too.

Five Guys - If you want the best counter-service burger and fries in the area, this is your place! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Ben's Chili Bowl - This is a DC institution and one of the few businesses that did not burn and remained open during the '68 riots. Great heart-attack-on-a-plate fare! Get the chili cheese fries. Also, the chili half-smokes with everything is a slice of heaven...If it's good enough for Bill Cosby, it's good enough for me!

Busboys and Poets - Has a definite anti-establishment, tree hugging hippie, "down with the man" vibe. Great sandwich place in my neighborhood...Nothing fancy, but just solid. Always packed.

Mocha Hut Cafe - One of the best places for breakfast! If you go on the weekends, You MUST give Chicken and Waffles a try...They have the BEST in the District! Trust me, just give it a try!!!

Teaism - A great Asian Teahouse. I HIGHLY recommend one of their Bento Boxes for lunch.

Viridian - I loved this place, but sadly it was a recent victim of the difficult restaurant business...

Thai Tanic - One of the best Thai Restaurants in DC. However, if you are ever in Mt. Clemens, MI, check out Thai Orchid. Absolutely the BEST Thai food I have ever had...

The Palm - For a good, old fashion steakhouse, check out The Palm. I have never been dissatisfied with the service or their food.

I'm shocked no one has mentioned Loma Linda's up in Swanton. The food is average at best, but they have the best Margarita's in NW Ohio, hands down! Three's good, four's a headache!

Kermit's for breakfast is another winner. I've never been there for anything else, but it sure beats Bob Evans, and I love supporting local establishments.

There are three (and more to come) in Cleveland. I had my first Five Guys in Alexandria when my now sister in law was interning.

Nah. They may have the strongest margaritas in the area, but they aren't the best. It's well tequila mixed with an overly sweet mix, nothing special.

Reverend Chico's has by FAR the best margaritas in the area. They fresh squeeze lime juice, add some simple syrup, and they have various levels of tequila/liquer for them depending on how your wallet feels.

Don Julio & Cointreau is my goto margarita there, but the one above that is probably also awesome (Grand Marnier, and I believe Cabo Wabo). Any way you go they're a million times better with fresh squeezed lime than any mix could hope to be.

Aside from Jazz night at one 49, and any night Paul isn't working at easy street, Chicos is pretty much the best bar in BG.
