Fresh cilantro and roasted garlic

Post by 1987alum »

... what an awesome combination! We made quesadillas the other night and I used that as the flavor base for the filling and it was outstanding. I've used it many times, but it was just great with black beans, melted cheese, etc.

Mm! Mm!

Absolutely two of my very favorite flavors.

Cilantro is probably my favorite fresh herb, seems to be a real love/hate thing though. There are a lot of people that just don't like it.

I seem to remember hearing once that there is a genetic trait that folks have in regard to cilantro. To some, it tastes like garlic. To others, it tastes like soap. I'm part of the latter group.
