Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives

Post by ZiggyZoomba »

It's been discussed in various forums on here... but we should form a consensus and submit a favorite to the show as a group. Might be a compelling story line for the show too... Guy could meet a bunch of us "locals" at one of our favorite BG places.

Do you have a favorite diner, drive-in or dive that Guy should visit? Send your suggestion now to: [email protected]. Don't forget to include your contact information because Guy just might meet you there!

Does one place really fit all the good criteria? Since it's been years since I've regularly eaten at any of the local joints, I may be missing a few things, but I'm all about a whole BG-centric episode!

The Corner Grill or Myles seems like the type of place that would work, but does either one do anything that stands out? Does any place in BG do something that would stand out for a show like DD&D? Kermit's seems like the type of place they like, but I've never eaten there, and it would seem to get away from the campus aspect.

After talking about it yesterday I actually submitted an e-mail to them about Myle's.

I think it is the most unique place in BG, with their pizza style. I've never found another place EVER that makes pizza's similar to Myle's. Huge toppings, huge chese, etc.

Not sure if they have enough variety to really be on the show, but I figured I'd pimp them anyways.

Last time I was watching the show I was trying to decide if BG could end up on there. I figured BG alone could meet two of the three categories in the name of the show:

The way I saw it:
Diner: Kermits
Drive-ins: ??
Dives: Corner Grill

Don't know of any local drive-ins though.

If we could get a Swensons out here then we could cover all three.

Corner grill is even better in the daytime than late night. When the manager is cooking its great fun to be there.
Yeah right girl!

I had to laugh because honestly, I never ate there in the daylight. Best drunk food ever! I probably never ate at the BG Taco Bell in the daytime either though. :-)
