Get Moody with a Hudy

Post by RobbyFalcon »

Cincinnati beer lovers have been rejoicing for some time now. Hudy DeLight, Hudepohl 14K and yes Burger have all been reintroduced. Do yourself a favor and pick up a 12 pack of each. When you're drinking Burger, you know you're drinking beer. 14K is delicious is DeLight is light beer, what do you want?

Burp.

You know, my Dad used to drink Hudy DeLight when I was little. We found some about a month ago and bought it for nostalgia, and I had one. After the first sip... I honestly wasn't sure if I drank something or not. It wasn't bad, it was just a lack of flavor. So, for that angle, I suppose it'd be a great party/tailgate beer where you can drink tons of it and not really know it, but don't expect anything tasty out of it. However, the nostalgia of it being around when I was little, and them giving me an empty can to pretend I was drinking, makes me still have a fond place in my heart for the beer. I'm just not in a big hurry to buy and drink any more of it.

Hudy Delight is a great summer beer! And CHEAP! Think I paid $5 for a 12 pack in Newport this past summer for a Reds weekend visit . Wish I would of bought more! Went to a lot of Reds games in the 80's and drank a few Delights The beer guy would scream, "Get moody with Rudy and drink a Hudy" ... so we did...of course beer wasn't $8 bottle back then.
