I could not be a college football coach...hanging so much of my future on the whims of 18 year-olds (and I'm not criticizing anyone..it's just part of being young) would drive me nuts

I agree with this. I just think it would stabilize things. On the other hand, from Mr. Campenni's view point, it would have cost him a chance to play in the BCS.
