Vitto picked up two technicals in a game last week, one for taunting and then another for complaining to the ref about the first. Suspended for the next two games. The kids got a ton of talent, but there is a lot of issues with him as well.

I was pretty sure someone had seen him play. What do you think about him as a player? Any Falcons you can compare him too? Any rumblings about wher ehe might be looking?

Vitto has some tremendous physical skills, but lacks an understanding of the game. Tends to be a "blackhole" with the ball and is not real disciplined. I have probably seen him play 15-20 times.

Sounds like a "Stan Joplin" kind of guy...too bad he left UT...

He is not quite as big and strong as Calhoun, but has a similar game, especially the mental end. Can be really good, but also can be frustrating to watch sometimes.
I have heard that he may not be interested in BG because we did not recruit his brother, that is playing at Wooster, but that may just be "talk" from his family. Who knows?

If his brother is playing D3 then we definitely had no business recruiting him for D1. I would hope that is something his family understands anyway.
BG '10

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

.....nor did any other D-1 schools recruit him that I know of, but you know how that goes. The inflated parental view is often a couple steps above actual talent. He is playing well at Wooster as a freshman and that is probably the right place for him.
If I am a high school athlete or parent, I would rather "undersign" than "oversign" anytime, and get the maximun amount of playing time, but many don't think that way.

Some of it may also be related to Coach Orr recruiting his own son off the same team. I said it a long time ago and based on performance thus far, I think Chauncey was better suited for a DII or DIII school. So there may be some resentment there on the Brown's part.

There is no comparison between Chauncy Orr and Xavier Brown.........Chauncy could do what Xavier did, but Xavier certainly couldn't do all of things Chauncy does, not to mention the 5" or 6" difference in height.

Chauncey has not shown me anything that says he does not deserve to be a D1 player. He may not ever be a start but it doesn't seem to big for him. I think with more PT he would be fine.
