Last week, the Lorain County newspaper named BG signee and Lorain HS senior Shanique Ogle HS Athlete of the Year- and she received that honor with half her sr year bb season and her track season yet to go. Ogle is a three sport star and will join BG's bb team as a post after signing last November. She hopes to throw for our track team as she finished sixth in the state in the shot and threw over 42' in her junior year. She also was a stand out volleyball player this fall. She is doing well in basketball in her first seven games and doing that in for her newly consolidated school- quite a transition for the community.

And that is where the best news comes in about Ogle- the school's AD calls her a real asset for the "new" school. He describes her as a "great kid, a great student and a great leader" and remarks on her humility and respect for others. And also her smile and overall personality. She sounds like a good addition on many levels.

Kaila Hulls over at Bloomington IN South is off to a great start averaging about 21 points and 7 rebounds. Her team has done well so far though they did lose to the state's number one team Ben Davis (their 70th win in a row) 78-53. Kaila had 17 points. Her brother is a starter at IU.

Go Falcons!

FF1,
As usual, thanks for the updates...I'd not seen the info. on Ogle, but the PD doesn't always do it's "outer ring" areas justice.

Kaila Hulls & Shanique Ogle. Heights? Positions? Are these two for next year? Does anyone have a complete list of recruits for next year?

Here is the info: http://www.bgsufalcons.com/news/2010/11 ... ath=wbball

In addition, 6'-1" Duke transfer Alexis Rogers becomes eligible next year too.
