will be aFalcon (per Rivals) *** guy on Scout and Rivals (almost **** on Rivals). Was charged with a misdemeanor back in Novemebr as a part of a hazing incident. There's a hockey team joke I could make...but the hockey diehrds would prolly kill me.
Rivals also says a WR named Burbrin from MD has verballed to us...but online articles say he's going to be a walk on

Re: FL Wr Chris Gallon...
If true, this will be our 1st "legit" BIG WR in as many years as I can remember... if he really is 6'5, that makes for one big target!!!! Hopefully, the "misdemeanor" thing isn't a sign of possible problems. Clawson's "state of Bowling Green" has really expanded this year....is Fla. now a "suburb" of Ohio?
By the way, the kid from Md. played for DeMatha, one of the perennial powers in nearly all sports in Md., Kind of a St. Ignatius type school...and Rivals calls him a "solid verbal", but BG was also listed as his only "offer".... so, it'll be interesting to see if he actually sends in a LOI (not even sure that preferred walk-ons, if that IS his status, have to sign an LOI).

Read a few of the articles re: the "hazing" incident...while no one knows for sure how accurate these articles are, this stuff sounded pretty serious.

OK, as I said previously, he'll make a HUGE target for us...and we haven't had a receiver this tall, maybe ever...Only one close to this, IIRC, was Mark Szlachik (sp) MANY years ago...
But, as I also said, if you read any of the articles about the "alleged" hazing, it didn't sound good...so hopefully, his feelings about BG and the "family type" atmosphere (my words), will help keep him straight.

Re: FL Wr Chris Gallon...
I remember someone mentioning a few days ago having Freddie as a Biletnikoff finalist was going to help and it looks like that was the case with this kid. "It’s a perfect fit for me because I’m going to a spread offense where a kid caught 150 balls one season. I could use that to my advantage a lot.” This guy is a HUGE get for us. If he can stay out of trouble I think he could end up being one of the best receivers in the conference REALLY quick. No pressure though.

Re: FL Wr Chris Gallon...
There are a lot of conflicting reports about the hazing incident...in fact there are some witnesses who say the kid was laughing about it afterwards and didn't appear hurt (apparently they tried to stuff him into a garbage can). The alleged victims mother got upset about the who thing and apparently drove her car onto a field at the school and scattered a bunch of students...she's been charged with a felony.
I hope Chris does well here in the classroom and on the field...Dr Phillips is kind of like Glenville or Lakewood St Ed's in terms of the talent they draw, be nice to have a pipeline there.
Heck, it'd be nice to have Lakewood St Ed's offensive line from last year

Isn't this what happens to Beckman at half the schools he visits?
Re: FL Wr Chris Gallon...
I have subscribed to Michigan's Scout page for the last three years and I can tell you this with full confidence . . . IF Rich Rodriguez was still the coach at Michigan, there's a very good chance that Chris Gallon would be a Wolverine. He was that well thought of.
One of Florida "correspondents" was a 7-on-7 coach in Central Florida and had the opportunity to work with Chris and his Dr. P teammates, Dee Hart (US Army Nat'l POY) and Ha'Sean Clinton Dix (#1 rated safety on Rivals) both committed to Alabama.
Chris by all accounts from the Central Florida guy(s) is a legit 6-5. Probably closer to 4.6 or high 4.5 but very good hands. The question is the maturity level a la the hazing incident.
The hazing incident on the Michigan boards was described as a kid who had power family connections ($, BoE, something like that). The school handled the discipline, the parents of the kid who was stuffed in the trash can got pissed and made it a much bigger issue than what it was. However, it was big enough to give UM some "pause" it was still assumed had Dee Hart stayed committed, Chris was more than likely coming too.
Rich got fired, Dee "officially" de-committed at the US Army game and the package fell apart.
This is potentially a very good get for Coach Clawson.
