January, 2010: Jared is a low post player that is just starting to assert himself at the high school level. He has always the potential but has started to become productive this year. He does not have great post moves and scores mostly off dump offs, tip ins and putbacks. He can also face up and hit shots out to 15 feet. He is not a great athlete but is an above average (and improving) rebounder. He needs to get a little stronger and gain a little more intensity. Bryant is a decent defender inside. He is not a shotblocker but a position defender in the paint.

Article highlights a recent tourney that both Bacon and BG were in. Highlights VITTO BROWN who is at BGHS. He is 6-7 and just a sophomore.
Vitto Brown, PF, Bowling Green- Physically, the 6-foot-7 sophomore has some tools that could eventually get him longer looks from high-major programs. He's very lengthy, has a basketball frame and is a high-level athlete. He will rebound and has some offense. Foul trouble really limited him, but the 2013 big man looked good while he was in there.

I wonder what the convoluted NCAA rule would be for Chauncey Orr to talk to this kid about colleges while on the floor. Even if Orr isn't/wasn't coming to play at BG, is he allowed to mention BG? Buy the kid a bratwurst?Globetrotter wrote:They played BGHS recently

Not sure if you saw it but a college baseball coach gave one of his players a kidney...It will be interesting to see where this goes.
Re: Jared Bryant C Roger Bacon
I did see that story, though I hadn't yet thought of it from the eyes of an evil NCAA compliance director.Globetrotter wrote:Not sure if you saw it but a college baseball coach gave one of his players a kidney...It will be interesting to see where this goes.

I wouldn't see a problem with the kidney, as the player was already signed and at the school. I doubt it would be legal prior to either of those, but after all, it is the NCAA.

Yeah, but you couldn't give a prospective recruit your kidney. No way.

There's a thread about this in the "Other Schools" section. There was no violation.Globetrotter wrote:Not sure if you saw it but a college baseball coach gave one of his players a kidney...It will be interesting to see where this goes.
