Interesting Recruiting analysis

I thought this analysis by Kyle Warbler of FIre Up Chips was interesting, as he analyzes the recruiting classes based on the number of offers players had. Note below

Clawson has destroyed the majority of MAC coaches who have tried to compete with him for recruits. Despite a down season in 2010, Clawson was able to bring in the consensus No. 2 recruiting class in the MAC. Only 6 of his 24 players (25 percent) had no options outside of Bowling Green.

Interesting observation... though I don't think the recruiting "gurus" are infallible, I DO tend to look at how many 3* and the occasional (for the MAC) 4* kids each school has... this seems to be the yardstick by which they evaluate each school's recruiting classes... Honestly, I don't think I can recall a single year in which so many 3* kids have committed and signed with BG, (and the entire MAC for that matter)... still think it relates to the 85 schol. limit placed on the "bigs", not to mention the 25 per year max., even though some SEC schools can't seem to count very well. ;-)

Still think Clawson's statements at the recruiting announcements made on bgsufalcons.com make the most sense...."wait til you see how this class does TWO YEARS after their signing".

Just looked at Rivals.com listing of BG's recruits in 2011...they show..... ZERO! Wonder if they're just updating to include the Conn. QB...or they just don't give a darn about us anymore. ;-)
