Word is we already offered (Although I thought his dad's name was Lamonta so this might not be right) as did C Michigan and Eastern. I think he is a soon to be Freshman?

Until he signs, it doesn't mean anything. I can offer a scholarship to a 4 year old, but if I never give him a contract to sign, I can decide to rescind that offer when he's 18.

The "big boys" have been offering players as freshmen for a while now -- if you want a chance to compete, you've got to get in on the really good players early.
