Game on November 16th "Richaun Holmes (Lockport) had a double-double with 13 points and 10 blocks added to his six rebounds. "

He has played 8 games so far this year and has had 10 blocks or more in 3 of them. Now The talent he is playing might not be great, but 15 blocks in 1 game. Thats like 1/4 of the overall shots we took in the game tonight.

Another triple double for Holmes on the 30th. 21pts 12 blocks and 10 rebounds. Those are the stats I would have playing my 6 year old nephews. He has to just be light years ahead of everyone he is playing.

Is this a kid we're looking at or have signed? Sorry, I don't follow hoops that closely.

Sorry, I didn't look at the names of the other schools in your original post. I thought he was still in high school.

So how did he end up at some no-name school?

Good question. His ACT was a 29 so it was not that. Not sure otherwise. Seems like a good get unless he is playing just absolutely horrible dudes. You cut his stats in half and thats a good dude in the MAC.

Noteworthy that HIS team has 6 players under 6 foot tall and only one other (6'5") over 6'3". Your guy is 6'8"- if the teams they play are similar in size I would guess he would block a lot of shots. In their game against the number 3 JC school in the nation they lost by 20+ (to Radar O'Reilly's hometown team) and he wasn't mentioned in the write-up. Hard to say what that all means but it doesn't sound like he's faced with stiff comp very often.

Looks like he had 10 pts vs #3 Indian Hills and was 2-6 from the FT line.

This type of 4th-hand pseudo-analysis is rarely revealing. I've been trying to do the same for years, only to have any impressions consistently blown away after simply watching the dude play. I've decided to stop driving myself nuts with preseason anticipation and just wait to see how players pan out. I benevolently recommend the same to all.

It is fun though.

Rolling along you BG warrior. Rolling along.....with 25 pts 10 rebs and 6 blocks in his last noted game and 12-12 and 7 the game prior

He certainly is a stat stuffer.
