I am REALLY starting to like the recruiting class that Coach Clawson is putting together. Out of the 15 verbals listed by the three major services, nine (9) of the fifteen, are listed as a three star (***) by at least one of the services and all the rest are at least a two star.
This may be our best class EVER if this keeps up!

factman: I'd agree with your enthusiasm on this class...but it seems that some of the sites either "lowball" or "highball" the kids... ESPN for example, showed SIX 3 star kids at last reading, but Scout and Rivals only show about two or three.... lets face it, this is all a crapshoot until the kids get on campus and actually compete with others at the D-1 level. Still, I'm curious as to why one site would list a kid as a "high" 3 star, and another either puts him at a "low" 2 star level or no level at all...This was especially true with the JC kids...so with Davis, a Post grad TE coming in, it'll be interesting to see what rating he gets.

Re *** kids...ESPN has us with six, Rivals three and Scout four. Some of the Rivals guys are .1 of a point from being ***, some f the scout guys are ** but int he top 100 or so for their position, so the gap isn't as pronounced as it might seem. I really like the way this class is shaping up...on film that Croley kid looks like a fricking monster...and that Westbrooks kid can do the JR Ryder ball between the legs dunk and he's listed at 6-2?

As of today (1/19/12), we have 20 verbals and twelve (12) of them are three star (***) in at least one of the three (espn, rival, and scout) recruiting services and as flip noted, most of the rest are VERY close to being rated that in most of the services.
Looks like a very good class for 2012.
