He's *** on Rivals...which I'm beginning to think isn't as important as other offers. Hell, you got *** kids signing with FCS schools. This young man had offers from Marshall, UAB, Middle Tenn. and Florida Atlantic. It's good when we beat out a number of mid majors for a kid. Particularly a 285-300LB DT who already benches over 400 and we don't have to play him next year because we have some depth there

This fellow is really a big barrel chested run stopper. Nearly college strong now. Think Hunter Maynard from last year's class- and he helped as an 18 year old because he was a good student athlete at a position of need last season. As flip says, can get stronger and develop with a redshirt season perhaps. Yes, I agree- when you are beating six or so of those types of schools listed, you have a guy who has potential.

I think other offers is the key. It is one thing to get guys no one else wants. At the same time, I'm not sure "offers" are always accurately available and reported with online sources...
