And yes more of a Ohio look, especially back into NE. Ohio for 1st time in quite awhile.

In "rechecking" this kid out, I found he's NOT verballed to anyone yet, so don't know where you got the info.: in fact, Either Rivals or Scout (can't remember which) doesn't even show us OFFERING him, though other site does.... Shaker should be loaded with D-1 prospects this year...good year to hit NE Ohio from the looks of things overall too. FWIW, Johnson, the DB from Canton, is only shown as verbal via Rivals..other sites don't mention him at all.... Most sites list us with 10 verbals, Scout only shows 8. Would be interesting to see how they come up with these figures.

Re Spencer...there was a tweet from a rivals guy abut a week ago saying he had verballed. Speaking of twitter...coach Scheier just tweeted the following.......

In fact, it was on Rivals and then removed. These things happen.

According to Rivals...it looks like Spencer is reopening his recruiting and will visit Cincy in December.

If Spencer indeed heads to the Bearcats, it would make the SECOND WR they've "stolen away" from us this year... Earlier a kid from Fla., also highly thought of, decommitted from BG to UC.

Seems ESPN still thinks this young man is coming our way...........

The rivals update was from a couple of days ago...ESPN hasn't updated anything for weeks. I'll take the fresh news as more reliable.

Just read that Spencer de-committed from BG. That sucks, on paper he was arguably our top target who verballed thus far. I went to see him play this year once solely based on him going to BG.

The kid put on his twitter feed that he had de-committed...
